Sox Lose 4-1, Drop Series

The Red Sox offense was impotent last night in a 4-1 loss. Josh Beckett pitched OK, but Ichiro did get to Beckett for 2 solo shots. Hard to win when you score just one run. Today's off day brings the drama about whether Carl Crawford should have surgery immediately on his elbow or if he should wait until the season is over. What's to wait for? The Sox are losing more ground every day & they need a run of 30-10 over the last 40 games to have a chance at the playoffs. That kind of win streak hasn't happened in a year. No sense in thinking it's going to happen now.
