Secrret Player Meeting in NY

Fact: Players met with management in New York. The Felger version is that this meeting was to complain & whin about Bobby V. The NESN version is that the Sox management regularly schedules 2 or 3 of these meetings with the players every year. The truth is probably somewhere in-between. Fact is the team is losing. Fact is the players need to play better, coaches need to coach better. Fact is when things go bad, everyone looks to blame someone else. Isn't that the American way? No personal accountability or personal responsibility anymore. As Steve Burton said last night, everyone needs to look in the mirror at themselves.

This big meeting was supposedly caused by Bobby leaving Lester in for an 11 run outing. I have to say, I was surprised at the time that he was left in that long. It appears there is a HUGE communication gap here. Funny, Bobby doesn't have any trouble communicating when a microphone is in front of his face. There is no way he can effectively lead this team going forward. He's gotta go. So do some of the bad apples on the bench. I don't care if the Sox have to pick up parts of their contracts to do so.
