McClure Out, Crawford Gets Surgery Thursday

An interesting off day on Monday for the Sox. Bob McClure is out, fired as pitching coach, & replaced by Jeff Niemann. Like that will solve the ineffectiveness of the starting staff. And in no big surprise Carl Crawford is getting season-ending surgery on Thursday to repair his elbow. It makes sense. Crawford was finally making an impact this year & he leaves with something to build on for 2013. Will there be any further moves before year end? Maybe they can put Dice-K on waivers to get rid of him once & for all. Other than calling up more kids for the final 5 weeks, I wouldn't expect anything major.
