Indians 5, Red Sox 2
As Jerry Remy said, you have to put points on the board to win. And the lethargic Boston offense has not been doing that. Had it not been for Buck's complete game & holding the Indians to 2 runs, we would be looking at 3 losses to the Tribe. 2 & 3 runs a game puts too much pressuere on the pitching staff to be perfect. And Frank Morales was not perfect last night, but he still did an OK job for a #5 starter. Just another game of no offense. As the local paper wrote today, it's time for the Red Sox to waive the white flag. Play the kids & see what you have for next year might be the smart move. I agree. Can't hurt anything at this point.
