Always Fun to Beat the Yankees

Yes, I know. Before yesterday's game Sports America gave the Red Sox a 2.9% chance to make the playoffs. Maybe after our 4-1 win yesterday in the Bronx we are up to 3.0% today. It's too little & too late, but it was nice to catch a glimmer of a good Jon Lester in Yankee Stadium. Where was this Jon Lester in the first half? Adrian Gonzalez hit a low & outside pitch for a 2-run homer. It was a very tough ball to hit, nonetheless hit out of the park. Where was this Adrian Gonzalez in the first half? And Pedro Ciriaco continues to rake on Yankees pitching, going 4-4 yesterday & hitting over .500 against the Yankees. As the window closes on post-season play for 2012, every game now counts as the 1st steps towards rebuilding this team for 2013. Gonzalez will be in uniform next year. I hope Ciriaco will be somewhere in the infield. And I guess Lester has shown enough to keep his job for another year. 22 more players to find for 2013.
