David Ortiz is on his way to a 40 HR / 110 RBI season this year. You almost pencil him in for 1 home run per game these days because he is so hot at the plate. Give the guy credit for making a resurgence in his later years. With Gonzo, Petey & Youk having off years it has been the steady presence of David Ortiz in the middle of the order that has stabilized the Sox offense. The big guy is making a strong case to stay in a Red Sox uniform for a few more years after this season. I was one of the people saying that the Sox overpaid to keep #34 & they should not have offered him arbitration. Guess I was wrong.
