Sox Ride Middlebrooks' Bat to Win
Finally, a win! Decent pitching by Doubront. Padilla is the only reliever used to save the pen. Middlebrooks goes yard twice, as did Big Papi & Petey. It wasn't perfect, but we'll take an 11-5 win to stop the losing streak. Even though Middlebrooks threw a ball away that led to 2 runs, he more than made up for it with 2 homers & a double. It will be hard to take this kid & his hot bat out of the lineup when Youk is ready to return.

I like what Middlebrooks brings to the ballpark. Youk has no value for a trade right now. He will need to show us someting in order to bring trade value. I wish the Sox had listened to me at the end of last season when I said they should trade Youk.
With respect to the win, we have to remember...its the Royals!!
