Doubront, Offense Beat Rays 5-3
Clay Buchholz & Felix Doubront both continued the streak of well pitched games by starters in Tampa Bay. Buck & Doubront both gave up only 2 runs. The offense could only score 1 for Buck, but they used 2 homers & 4 RBI by Cody Ross last night to score 5 which was enough for the win & a split against their inter-division rival. You have to be impressed with the turnaround in pitching, but my question is why did it take so long? 6 weeks into the 2012 season, coming off a poor start & end to 2011, the Sox may finally be hitting their stride. As of today, they are 2 behind the Yankees in the loss column. Oddly enough, the Phillies have a similar record to the Sox & are in the botton of the NL East at this point. This should be a fun 3-game weekend against Pap & Co.
