Cole Hamels Versus Bryce Harper

Earth to Cole Hamels: Never admit to throwing at a batter, even if you did. Hamels is suspended 5 games (a/k/a 1 start) for admitting that he intentionally threw at rookie Nats phenom Bryce Harper. Harper got him back by stealing home when Hamels threw to first on a pickoff play. With Cole Hamels on the verge of a free agent contract year in 2013 this is not the kind of stuff that will up his value. Enough teams, however, probably won't care. It will be interesting to see how the year plays out between the Nats & Phillies. Bad blood lingers.
