Aaron Cook Gets His Chance

Aaron Cook will get his start on Saturday against the high-flying birds from Baltimore at Fenway. Cook will start in place of Josh Beckett who, hopefully, is being rested for just one start after throwing 126 pitches in his last outing. If Cook can produce the same results as those he got in Pawtucket, it will be tough to get him out of the rotation. Felix Doubront & Daniel Bard are both coming off poor outings. Bobby V. will have some hard decisions to make about who stays & who goes from the rotation. But, like the situation with Youk & Middlebrooks, competition is good. It keeps everyone focused on positive results. Don't forget that Dice-K will be coming back at the end of the month, adding another arm to the mix.
