Bobby V. made his choice. Alfredo Aceves is the closer - at least this weekend.
Aceves plus 12 other pitchers make the trip to Detroit as part of the Red Sox roster. Bobby said he may not take 13 pitchers for long, maybe not even into the 2nd series in Toronto.
But having more options due to the injury to Andrew Bailey is a good thing for now. You never know when an important match-up will determine a win or loss. I'd keep as many options available too!
