The Yankees squandered a 4-0 lead against the Red Sox last night & Joe Girardi decided not to play the customary 10th inning with the scored tied 4-4 after 9 innings.
Why was that? The Yankees ran out of pitchers.
Why did they run out of pitchers? Because Girardi was a blockhead in the 9th & changed pitchers after they threw to just one batter.
Gee, Joe. I didn't realize that this was playoff game & you had to use your whole bullpen to get the proper left-left, right-right matchups to bring home the big victory in spring training.
As it turns out, Girardi's decisions couldn't stop the Red Sox from tying the game on a suicide squeeze.
Take that, Joe. You are a blockhead for running out of pitchers.
