David Ortiz, Big Papi, spoke to the media the other day about the September collapse. He said his leadership style is not anything more than one employee talking to another employee. Big Papi is not a babysitter.
Is that leadership? I can remember coaching a college team with 2 seniors as co-captains. They were fantastic. If AP & Hooch are out there, you did a great job. They kept everyone going in the right direction & made the coaches jobs so much easier.
I'm not buying the "I'm no babysitter" comment. You are if you want to win. Man-up!

Papi is the kind of guy that wants to be liked....a big huggable teddy bear. This has been evident from the start. You can't expect a guy like that to be very confrontational. The best you can hope for is that he leads by example. Make a guy like Pedroia captain, and let him police these other nitwits.
