Dino Laurenzi has collected more than 600 urine samples from MLB players. It was Friday around 5 PM when he collected 3 samples from 3 players on the Brewers. One of the samples was from Ryan Braun. No UPS store was still open at that hour. Therefore, Laurenzi kept the samples refrigerated, as per protocol, in his basement fridge.
The samples were shipped to Montreal for testing on the following Monday. The seal on each tube was still in tact & unbroken. There was no tampering with the evidence.
This poor lab tech has come under fire for doing his job as a professional. Too bad it's the little guy who always gets the short end of the stick. Braun should be sitting out the first 50 games this season - period.
