The New England Patriots put a beating on divisional rival New York & soundly took command of their division with a 37-16 win over the J-E-T-S. Even the Jets #1 cheerleader looked stunned in the stands as the boo birds came out more than once in MetLife Stadium. Rex watched his team turn the ball over 3 times via interceptions & a fumble.
Mark Sanchez found out that he is not Tom Brady. Rex Ryan found out that he is not Bill B. And the Jets are looking at another Wild Card berth at this point as their only road into the playoffs.
Good games on defense by Derek Anderson, Andre Carter & Vince Wilfork. A no-name defense of unknowns was good enough to stymie a struggling Jets offense. Rob Ninkowitz came up with 2 big INT's & ran one back for a game-ending pick 6 in the 4th.
Rob Gronkowski had a career game with 100+ receiving yards & 2 big TD catches. Brady was very good when it counted.
There is still a lot of time left in the season & anything can happen. But it was nice to see the Pats have signs of life.
