Another wild card team who got hot at the end of the year ends up winning the World Series. Congrats to the Cardinals & local NH native Chris Carpenter for outplaying the Texas Rangers in the last 2 games to win the World Series in front of their hometown fans.
At the same time it has to be very frustrating for the Texas Rangers to make it to the World Series 2 years in a row, a fete in itself these days, only to lose twice. They were 1 strike away a few times in Game 6, but it was just not to be.
2011 is officially over, something that couldn't happen soon enough for Red Sox fans. Now it's on to 2012.
