The Pittsburgh Steelers were the better team by far today.
Pats defense couldn't stop the Steelers pass attack. It was nice to see Mayo back on the field, but he certainly wasn't at 100%. The secondary got exposed when the front line couldn't get any pressure on Big Ben. They did make the Steelers settle for field goals which kept the score close for most of the game.
Pats offense couldn't get any momentum going against the Steelers D. They had so few plays in the first half that it was as if the offense only played half a game. A few non-calls & a bad call that disallowed a TD in the 4th took an extra 2 minutes off the clock. But it wasn't to be as Brady got striped at the end of regulation.
Talk about a bad game. How about Stephen Gostkowski. Missed field goal. Botched on-side kick. Botched free kick. This was not his finest game. His missed field goal from 42 that hit the cross bar really hurt.
Like I said, Pittsburgh was the better team today. If we see them again, it will be in the playoffs - assuming the Pats improve over the next 9 weeks.
