The soap opera that is the Boston Red Sox continues on this off-season.
John Henry had to call into WEEI's broadcast to state that it was not him who threw Terry Francona under the bus by revealing aspects of his personal life. That was done by "club officials" who are anonymous.
It came to light that Francona had ended his 30 year marriage & was living in an apartment most of this season. He also needed to seek out a 2nd medical opinion about the use or overuse of painkillers for his 5 knee operations. He also had a son or daughter in the military that was called up to active duty to serve in Afghanistan.
No one deserves to have their personal laundry aired out in the media. But in this age of no responsibility & "don't point the finger at me," John Henry is insulating himself as to why they - the ownership - let Tito go. It may have been the right call anyways, but don't make it personal.
