Ill-Timed Beer Video

When you win in Boston, the whole world is with you. When you lose, it's like have CSI review every possible trace of evidence as to why you failed.

A country video featuring Josh Beckett, John Lackey, Jon Lester, Clay Buchholz & Tim Wakefield has surfaced. The song in the video is "I love beer." Obviously, this is poor timing as rumors of clubhouse drinking before & during games by the Red Sox starting pitchers has come under scrutiny.

If the Sox had kept up their winning ways when the video was shot in July, no one would care. But timing is everything. And the Sox players are in uniform which means someone in the front office had to approve it.

Poor timing for sure. But also poor judgment to promote beer.
