I've had enough now.
I can read one more article about beer, chickin' & biskits by the Boston Globe. I can't turn on ESPN & see Gordon Edes & Dan Shaughnessy discussing the collapse anymore. I think the Red Sox & September have been beaten to death.
Let's get back to:
- finding a new manager
- finding a right-hand hitting right fielder
- finding a way to get part company with John Lackey
- finding a way to retire Big Papi, Wake & Varitek
We'll have time to re-visit beer & chickin' gate in Spring Training.
Let's change the dialogue for the next few weeks. Please...

While I would also like to see the dialog change, I think this is only the tip of the iceberg. I believe that there is something bigger below the surface that could further damage this franchise. Chickengate is only the beginning. If you remember with Nixon's fiasco, what really got them in trouble was the lying and the cover-up.
By the way, out here they are saying that the Padres are interested in Lackey. Only problem is they want the Sox to pick up most of his salary.
