"Unstoppable" Slide Continues

Have you seen the Denzel Washington movie "Unstoppable?" It's about a runaway train. The movie builds to an ending where the train rounds a steep curve where everyone expects it to derail.

The Boston Red Sox are rounding that same turn & it's unclear how their movie called the 2011 season will end. A loss in Baltimore last night drops the Sox to even with Tampa Bay.

Will they derail or pull out of their tailspin? In 2 days we will know.

Josh Beckett was not good last night for a 2nd time. The offense was not good with RISP. Too many opportunities went astray.

I was frustrated in the 1st inning last night when the Orioles intentionally walked Adrian Gonzalez with runners at 2nd & 3rd. It's the 1st inning! I thought that was bush league to go with an intentional walk so early in the game, but that's Buck for you. As it turns out, Jed Lowrie swings at the 1st pitch he sees & makes the 3rd out. Poor plate discipline.

One way or the other, the nightmare of September will be over soon.

While I agree Buck is bush, I would have done the same thing....even in the 1st inning. There are only a couple of Sox that are still hitting, Scutaro, Ells, and Adrian. If I am Buck, I still want to win the games..
