Pats 38, Dolphins 24

Tom Brady threw for 500+ yards against a defense where the Miami safeties proclaimed themselves best in the league. They didn't back up their talk.

Only down note for opening night was a possible broken ankle by Pats center Dan Koppen. He will possibly miss the rest of the season. Dan Connolly filled in very adequately in Koppen's absence.

It was nice to see Wes Welker torch his old team for 2 TD catches, one for 99.5 yards. Besides Welker, tight ends Gronkowski & Hernandez just ate up the Miami secondary.

Pats come back home to play their home opener on Sunday afternoon against the San Diego Chargers.
