Math Still Working in Sox Favor

Red Sox are not playing well, but still have an 8-game lead in loss column for the Wild Card with 21 games left in the season.

Playing 11-10 or 10-11 the rest of the way makes the math a little more favorable for the Sox. The Rays or Angels would need about 18 or 19 wins this month to overtake the Sox.

Having said that, go back to my previous article. Remember - anything can happen. But the math is still looking favorable for the Red Sox to make the playoffs.

The Sox are just making it more exciting. That's one word for it.
