Brewers, Diamondbacks in Postseason

The Milwaukee Brewers & the Arizona Diamondbacks punched their tickets into postseason play last night. They join the Philadelphia Phillies & most probably the Atlanta Braves. Even though the Phillies have the best record in baseball, any of these 4 teams have enough to go all the way.

In the AL we have the New York Yankees & Texas Rangers as ticket holders to the postseason, most likely to be joined by the Detroit Tigers & Boston Red Sox. The Tampa Bay Rays & LA Angels are still clinging to the possibility of catching the Sox, but games are running out on them. Like the NL postseason teams, any of these 4 have the capability of putting together a run in the playoffs.

It's nice to see small market teams like Milwaukee & Arizona in the playoffs this year. As last year with the San Francisco Giants, the Bay team was able to dispose of the Phillies & then the Rangers to win the World Series. Remember - the regular season ends Wednesday. A new season begins on Friday.
