Josh Beckett has an ankle sprain. Nothing more ominous.
If you have ever had a sprain, some are more severe than others. The fact that Beckett walked off the mound without too much discomfort leads me to believe that his is not serious.
However, nay-sayers like Joe Haggerty last night on Comcast Sports have to stir the pot & say Beckett will not be the same for the rest of the year. Where is that doctor of medicine degree, Joe? The media just kills me at times.
Here's my theory, Joe. I think Beckett will be back to his old self after missing one start. Let's see who's right.
