Can Jacoby Ellsbury get any hotter offensively? In the first week of August he has 2 walk-off hits against the Indians & he lights up CC for 6 RBI yesterday. Not a bad first week.
Like his teammates Gonzalez & Pedroia Ells has to be the front runner for AL Player of the Month in August. He should certainly be the AL Player of the Week.
At this offensive rate Ellsbury has a chance at 100 RBI for the season as a leadoff batter. That's just crazy. He will steal another 50 bases, score 100 runs & he is hitting over .300 now. He is the best leadoff hitter by far in the AL & perhaps in all of baseball.
