Mr. Personality of the Chicago Cubs, Carlos Zambrano, was ejected from his last game. He promptly cleaned out his locker & told players he was retiring. The Cubs brass said they would honor his request to retire since Zambrano is still owed about $24 mil through next season.
Zambrano has since retracted his retirement statement. However, the Cubs have place him on the disqualification list & do not have to pay him for 30 days. That's about $3 mil less in his pocket.
Zambrano's fellow players have said that they don't care if he returns this year. His infantile antics are getting old in the dugout & in the clubhouse.
