Bobby Jenks is on the DL for the 3rd time this year. If it wasn't for John Lackey & J.D. Drew underperforming thus far, more attention would be on Jenks as the anti-ironman. Maybe Ozzie was right!
Let's just say it & get it out there. Jenks is out of shape. So am I, but I'm not making $6 million a year for 2 years. He needs to shed several pounds to take a little weight off his ailing back. Let's get Bobby a free membership to Weight Watchers. Maybe that will keep him on the field. He has been a major disappointment so far.
On the positive side, Carl Crawford will rejoin the Sox after 2 successful rehab starts in Pawtucket. He will be available for the Baltimore series on Monday. crawford's return will start the controversy over Reddick or Drew in RF. Right now Reddick has the hot bat. It wouldn't be surprising to see one of the 2 right-fielders being dangled out there at the trade deadline.
As usual, it will be a fun week covering the Sox.
