Bush League, Buck, Bush League!

I believe that Buck Showalter told his pitcher Mike Gonzalez to throw at David Ortiz in the 6th inning of a 1-run game today. Very stupid. Very bush league. I thought a manager was suppose to coach his team to win, not teach them to play "plug-ees."

With the score 7-6 the O's were still in this game as opposed to the other 3. Yet Showalter just can't get his team focused on winning. He has to keep the feud against Ortiz going. As it turns out, Gonzalez' replacement gave up the insurance run & the Sox win 8-6.

As Francona said after the game, throwing behind a batter can get someone hurt. It should be an interesting series in Baltimore after the all-star break.

Grow up, Showalter, & fix your team before you lose your job.

The team takes the lead from it's manager. Buck went off in the preseason on the Sox salaries yada yada yada. Now you see Gregg spouting some of the same nonsense, along with all of the chippiness on the field. You are right. It all points to Buck. He is a baby
