Anyone out there thinking like me on this back injury situation with Clay Buchholz?
Let's turn the page back to last year. Ellsbury had cracked ribs which were misdiagnosed by the Sox medical staff. It caused Ells a lot of angst with players, management & reporters.
And don't forget Dustin Pedroia last year. The medical staff cleared him to play & he wound up with a screw in his ankle.
Is Buchholz doomed to a similar fate this year? How can 3 opinions clear him to work through pain & now Buck is getting a specialist to look at possible structural damage?
The Sox medical staff does not have a great track record, especially after last year. I hope that Buck was not advised down the wrong path & that he can eventually return this year in time for the playoffs.
