Terrible Pitching Again

More walks. More hit by pitch. Even a wild pitch. John Lackey & the Boston offense didn't get it done as the lose 5-1 to the Padres & drop their first series in a long time to one of the worst teams in baseball.

The Sox radio broadcasters mentioned that the Padres scored 10 runs in 2 games on only 4 hits. The other 6 runs scored via walks, HBP or wild pitch. You can't give a team that many free runs & expect to win.

The Sox start a 9-game interleague road trip that takes them through Pittsburgh, Philly & Houston. About 5-4 is all I'm expecting due to the fill-ins in the lineup, the sputtering pitching & the loss of the DH spot.
