Sox Lose Again 6-4

Pittsburgh spoiled Tim Wakefield's return to the city where he started his pro career. Uncharacteristically, Dustin Pedroia made a huge error on a routine ground ball. And the Red Sox keep giving away games, even though the bats did come alive with 3 HR's. Sox lose their 2nd series in a row.

Too many unearned runs during this stretch of 4 consecutive losses. Too little timely hitting with RISP. The Red Sox are finding ways to beat themselves. That will stop.

As Pedroia said after the game, this team can turn around & win 4 in a row just as easy. And he said that the Sox team will come out Sunday & play hard. That's what you have to do - play through it.

Andrew Miller's 2nd start now takes on more meaning as the Sox try to avoid a sweep by the Bucs. Don't look now, but the Yankees took over 1st.
