Sox Annihilate Jays for a Second Day in a Row

If 16-4 wasn't bad enough on Saturday, try 14-1 today. The Sox batters destroyed Jays pitching for a 2nd day in a row. Home runs for Gonzalez, Pedroia & Ortiz. Multi-hit games for several players. Unlike the cool & wet weather in New England this weekend, this Red Sox offense is on fire.

Jon Lester pitched 8 strong innings without the signs of wildness that plagued him in past starts. He gave up only 1 run, a homer to Jose Bautista.

A 6-0 road start to a 9-game trip through the AL East is more than anyone expected. A well-deserved day off on Monday is followed by a 3-game series in Tampa Bay. The Trop has not been a hospitable place for the Sox in the past. Let's see if the Sox stay hot.

I forgot to mention that Kevin Youkilis had a 2-run jack as well. Not bad when the #2 through #5 hitters all crush home runs in the same day.
