Red Sox, Bruins Win Again

It was a good night for 2 Tim's -- Tim Wakefield & Tim Thomas.

Red Sox 11, Yankees 6:
----------------------
The Sox offense pulled through for Tim Wakefield & Alfredo Aceves. Just when you thought the Yankees might mount a rally Jeter grounds into an inning-ending double play in the 8th & the Sox throw 3 more runs on the board in the 9th thanks to homers by Carl Crawford & J.D. Drew. The Red Sox win the series in the Bronx.

Did you see the sweat pouring off the cap of Aceves? It looked like he dunked his cap in a bucket of water before each inning!

Bruins 4, Canucks 0:
--------------------
Tim Thomas pitched a shutout. For the second game in a row the Canucks were man-handled by the Bruins & could not get the puck past Thomas. Horton's replacement on the first line, Rick Peverly, had 2 goals. The Bruins are exorting their will over the Canucks.

It's now a 2 out of 3 series. No question that Tim Thomas is the key. He is riding a wave of confidence.

It's a great time to be a sports fan in New England!
