Good news for Red Sox Nation came before last night's 3rd beating in a row of the sinking Bronx 9. Dustin Pedroia will not need surgery on his right knee.
Maybe just knowing that will let Petey relax at the plate. He certainly has not been himself on offense. Defensively, however, he & A-Gon are superior fielders on the right side. I don't remember seeing Pedroia take away so many hits up the middle.
Petey will be back in the lineup against the Jays tonight. He should bring a lift to a tired bunch.
