Just in the nick of time. With the 15-day disabled list starting to grow Dustin Pedroia & Kevin Youkilis are getting hot at the right time.
With a rotation of Lowrie & Scutaro at shortstop, new faces in the outfield & new faces on the mound the Red Sox need their offense to power up & win a few games over the next 2 weeks while players like Crawford, Buchholz & Lowrie get well.
I've said all along that it has been great to see the offensive exploits of Adrian Gonzalez & the re-surgence of David Ortiz. But Petey & Youk are the heart & soul of this team. Having them get multi-hit games & long balls is the catalyst the Sox need to put a little distance between themselves & the Yankees.
