Who was that man behind the catcher's mask last night?
Jason Varitek was 2 for 2 throwing out runners last night. Both throws hit the glove perfectly in front of the second-base bag.
Jason Varitek hit a huge 2-run homer to give the Sox a 4-1 lead late in the game. It's the first HR for Varitek in almost a year.
In a tight 4-2 win for the Sox, & the 1st win over the Indians this year, Jason Varitek certainly did his part to contribute to this big win.

we have been getting some good production from the catching position as of late. Tec had a great game. Salty has also been hitting the last few weeks. Finding the right balance between the 2 will always be a work in progress, but Tito seems to be on the right track.
