I listened to the pre-game & in-game comments about Justin Morneau & his attempt to come back from his concussion sustained last year. You have to feel for a guy like Morneau who was an offensive force for the past several years. Does it even make sense for the Twins to have him on the field?
Mauer & Morneau were the M & M boys in Minnesota, similar to the Mantle & Maris haydays with the Yankees in the 60's. Both have been injured recently with Mauer still working his way back from the DL. But Morneau is trying to shake off lingering symptoms from his concussion which made him miss about half the season last year.
I hope the Twins do what's best for Morneau, even if it means giving him more time on the DL this year to fully recover. Just look at football & the effects of concussions.
