Alex Rodriguez is the latest in a line of players to go out with early season injuries. Roy Oswalt left a game yesterday. Adam Wainwright is done for the season. The DL is piling up early in the year.
Here's a wild guess as to why. A month of pre-season games in the sun & heat of Florida & Arizona followed by schedules that put teams up north in winter-type elements. I could be wrong, but I think it's hard for the body to adjust.
One thing going for the Red Sox early on - maybe the only thing with a 3-10 record - is the fact that the team has been injury free so far. We had our share last year.
