Yes, the Red Sox would entertain offers for Dice-K if you believe one sports report. No, he is not trade bait if you believe what Theo Epstein said in response.
The Dice-man has had back-to-back tough years in 2009 & 2010. His Spring Training results in 2011 have been more of the same - ineffective results.
The Sox would have to eat a lot of his $10 million salary & Dice-K would need to waive his no-trade clause. But stranger things have happened.
With just 3 weeks left to Spring Training I doubt that Dice-K will be moved before the start of the season.
