Vlad Guerrero is now in the AL East. Another aging & oft injured star, the Baltimore Orioles agree to a 1-year, $8 million contract with Vlad to be the team's DH.
The O's have never had a problem on the offensive side of the ball. Their offensive stats are in the top 5 in the AL almost every year. The problem is their pitching which is usually at the bottom. I believe their bullpen was ranked last in all of baseball last year.
You can improve your weakness or improve your strength. The Orioles opted to go with more offense. If Vlad helps the O's beat the Yankees a few times, it works for me.
