Aside from being spoilers, one of the few things left to the 2010 season is Mike Lowell Day.
Lowell is the oldest looking 36 year old you might ever see. His beard is scruffy & gray. He can't run very well anymore. And he is retiring in a Red Sox uniform.
Mike has achieved a lot. 2 World series rings - one with the Florida Marlins in 2003 & one with the Red Sox in 2007. One World Series MVP in 2007. A win over cancer in his personal life. And he leaves with the respect of the Boston fans & his teammates. He is a classy guy who will be missed.
And Lowell becomes the first change to the Sox roster from 2010 to 2011. Many more to come.
