Red Sox beat the Yankees 10-8. It always fun to beat the Yankees. It doesn't matter that we are out of it.
Jed Lowrie went 4-4 with a home run & 3 RBI. Thinking towards 2011 - is Jed Lowrie the starting shortstop or is it Marco Scutaro? Lowrie is a switch-hitter & adds more offense with steady defense. Scutaro plays hard everyday & has been a serviceable leadoff man for the Sox in the absence of Ellsbury.
How about we keep them both at short? Lowrie has a history of injuries, but he helps win games when he is in the lineup. Scutaro has shoulder & neck injuries, but keeps giving his best every night. Between both we should be all set at short without spending an arm & leg for someone else. Both can also fill-in at other infield spots to give Youk, Pedroia & whoever is at third a break.
It's interesting to talk about 2011 already & all the moves that need to be made.
