I just want to make a quick comment on the Roger Clemens conviction by a grand jury for lying under oath to Congress.
Lou Merloni was asked for his comments last night about the Clemens conviction. I thought he was brief & to the point. Lou said:
1) What took Congress so long?
2) Clemens is so dilusional that he probably believes his own story that he never took PED's.
Forget that Brian MacNamee, his trainer, testified that he injected Clemens on 16 different occasions. Forget that teammate Andy Pettitte must have "misremembered" seeing him get a shot in the butt. Roger is living in Rogerland. (Sounds familiar like Mannyland.)
Even now, his attorney maintains his innocence. Unless Roger can pull an Ollie North, there is a good chance he will do time behind bars. That might bring him back to reality.
