Going, Going, Almost Gone

A rookie pitcher makes rookie mistakes. Felix Lebrount fell into that trap last night as a big error lifted Texas to another win, this time 8-4.

The season is going, going, almost gone. The Sox have lost 7 out of 9 & continue to sink in the standings. As of today, the Sox are 3 1/2 back of Tampa Bay who lost to the Yankees. Go Yankees this weekend!

I told several people lately that I feel time is running out on getting front-line players back from the DL. August may be too late. The Sox may be too far out of the Wild Card by then. And with a long road trip coming up it's not probable that they can reel off 10 wins in a row to gain ground.

But we need to play the games & see what happens. Let's win at home tonight against Cliff Lee & get some monomentum started for the road trip. One day at a time.
