How are they doing it? Players keep going down, but the Sox keep winning. The Sox t-e-a-m take 2 out of 3 from the Giants over the weekend, even with additional injuries to Dustin Pedroia, Clay Buchholz & Victor Martinez.
You have to admire the Sox players, managers, coaches & front office for finding "fill-ins" who have contributed mightily to their 45 wins thus far. Maybe a better description is super-subs or reliable replacements. Whoever puts on a Red Sox uniform these days is getting the job done.
Can it last? Can we continue to expect above-average play from guys with little or no big league experience? Time will tell. But all of Red Sox Nation has to be impressed with 2nd place in the standings on June 28th.
