Sox Flat in Denver

The Red Sox just seemed flat to me in a 2-1 loss to the Colorado Rockies last night. A bad hop over Marco Scutaro's head led to Colorado's winning run in the bottom of the 8th. The Sox missed 2 big scoring opportunities with the bases loaded.

I also thought that the lineup was pretty punchless after the 1st 5 in the order. Nava, Cameron, Reddick & Lester were your bottom 4 hitters. That's life in a National League park without the DH.

How many fans saw the foul ball down left field in the bottom of the 8th & wondered if Beltre was going to takeout Nava?

Lackey goes against Jimenez tonight. These 6 games in NL parks may not be kind to the Sox who have to rotate Youk-Beltre-Ortiz in & out of starting roles. We can use a win tonight.

The Red Sox will need at least five runs to win this game, because you can expect Lackey to give up at least four. It's not looking good against a pitcher like Jimenez.
