Pedroia Sinks LA

I couldn't listen to the incessent ramblings of Fox announcers Joe Buck & Tim McCarver, so I listened to the first 8 innings on the radio. Same tonight with ESPN announcers Joe Morgan & Johnny Miller. How many times do you think there will be a reference to when Joe Morgan played?

Regardless, it was great to have a David & Goliath matchup as 5'7" Dustin Pedroia got the winning hit off of big Jonathan Broxton, the Dodger closer. Even though the Fox announcers were talking about Broxton's scoreless innings streak & how he would get 4 outs, they never figured that Petey would end the game with a hit.

The win on Saturday leaves the Sox 1 game behind the Yankees & Tampa Bay as they both won yesterday as well. It's turned into quite a 3-team pennant race in the AL East.
