Life's Lessons Learned

Do you remember your first failure? How about when your kids or family members tried something that didn't work?

Daniel Bard is learning some valuable life lessons as a fill-in closure for the past few games. He's learning that you can't give up walks. He's learning that you're it - you win or lose a game for your team. There's no backup plan.

Bard also learned that the buck stops with him. And there's no such thing as a so-so outing. You either perform & win or you don't perform & lose. It's very simple & a role that not everyone is cutout for.

I think Daniel Bard will be glad to see Pap in the bullpen tonight.

I know that they got eight runs, but they had so many opportunities with men on base. That has been a source of frustration over the last few games.
