Lackey Survives, Martinez Hits

How many pitchers out there, current or past, remember a game where you didn't have your best stuff, but you still won? It usually means you had help from the offense.

That was John Lackey last night. 4 runs & 12 hits over 5 innings, but he somehow made it through the first 6. Adrian Beltre pops a big 3-run homer to get the Sox back into the game & Victor goes off for 5 hits, including 4 doubles. Delcarmen, Bard & Nelson pitched scoreless relief to seal the deal.

It was a nice team win to start the month of June.
